  • Billing information: subscription and payment metadata handled through our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers).
  • Technical information: limited logs such as IP address, browser type, and device details used for reliability and security.

2. How we use it

  • To provide the product: create podcasts, generate audio, and deliver your RSS and JSON feeds.
  • To operate your account: authentication, session management, usage limits, and account settings.
  • To process payments: subscriptions, invoices, plan changes, and billing support.
  • To keep the service safe: prevent abuse, investigate incidents, and monitor platform health.
  • To communicate essential updates: service notices, policy changes, and billing-related messages.

3. Who we share it with

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We share data only with trusted providers required to run Text2Podcast, such as hosting/database and authentication (Supabase), payments (Stripe), and audio generation (OpenAI).
  • We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users, rights, and service integrity.
  • We may disclose information when necessary to investigate or respond to claims involving content submitted by users, including alleged rights violations.
  • Public podcasts and public pages are visible to anyone with access to those links. Private podcasts stay owner-only in the dashboard and are not distributed through public pages or feed URLs.
  • Users are solely responsible for the content they submit, transform, publish, or share through the service.

4. Cookies and analytics

  • We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and maintain secure sessions.
  • We use product analytics and performance monitoring tools (including Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights) to understand reliability, speed, and basic usage trends.
  • We do not use invasive cross-site tracking for advertising purposes.

5. Data retention

  • We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service.
  • When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data from active systems within a reasonable period.
  • Limited backup copies may persist temporarily and are removed according to backup rotation schedules.
